"We are pleased with the appearance and quality of the planters. There are no instructions which would have explained that you really need some good whacks with a mallet and also a power screwdriver to assemble."

"We are pleased with the appearance and quality of the planters. There are no instructions which would have explained that you really need some good whacks with a mallet and also a power screwdriver to assemble."

"The quality of the wood was excellent. However, it took a dremmel to adjust every single joint to allow them to fit together. The paint was thinly applied, had been packed whilst still wet as were stuck to the packaging and I had to repaint each planter. The width was also larger than advertised. The liners provided were excellent quality. We have now done all the work that we had assumed would be done and they look very nice, but to say they go together easily was misleading, and the standard of paint finish was poor, considering the price. That said, they are very solid."

"Simple enough to assemble (instructions easily found on website) and builds into quite a good looking planter. However… The base quality is substandard with boards that do not fully fit and which obviously been measured and cut very poorly. For the money charged, I would have expected much better - just seems shoddy and mediocre work"

"The colour is paler than in the pictures, a green wash as opposed to a coat of paint. Also physical strength is needed to assemble the planter and a powerful electric screwdriver. Paying extra for the liner was worth it, a perfect fit and water permeable. Now it's assembled and planted up it looks good, I just wish the green colour was a little stronger."

"The planters are really sturdy and were fairly easy to assemble (so my husband says) despite the lack of instructions. They look great too. We are glad we bought the liners though as there is a small gap all around the edge of the base. I suppose it is good for drainage but would have meant compost falling through."

"Quality was the okay for the price. Colour was completely different to advertised- a very pale spearmint, although the feet were a darker green, I have had to repaint it! The instructions for assembly didn’t apply to the base as the feet were already attached. We have put another baton underneath as it looked like it might sag in the middle."

"I am pleased with the planters but anyone who buys them must have a good mallet to assist the build. I enjoyed doing the build and and the finish result was very satisfactory, I bought several and the one fault was the difference in the colour shade from one trough to the next."

"Painting was bit thin, liner too big and had to be cut down which left it looking scruffy, bottom panel did not fit properly, did send email expressing our disappointment but the company believed it looked okay on the picture."

"Absolutely love these planters. They are easy to put together and look very stylish. Only slight gripe. We were offered the casters half price when checking out. We thought this was a great idea. Unfortunately they did not fit the bottom of the planter. You shouldn’t recommend something that doesn’t fit the product and waste my time and money returning them. So bear in mind if ordering you have to pay for return postage. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars"

"I ordered 4 wooden trough planters with liners one week ago to be delivered for a special occasion as it showed 1 to 2 working day delivery from order. 3 wooden trough planters arrived within the 2 days of my order however a wooden planter trough was missing and also no liners were included in the 3 troughs that arrived. Despite numerous phone calls I have made to Planters UK the missing planter and the liners still have not arrived. I did ask to speak with a manager who was not available and was told I would get a call back but I still await this call. I received an email yesterday informing me that a new order for the missing wooden planter trough and liners had been raised. One week has now passed since my order and I still have no clear date when the missing part of my order will arrive. All most unsatisfactory and stressful, impacting on the celebrations that are now taking place."
