Our black planters are hand painted with two coats of paint, for a durable and authentic finish.

Wooden black planters have a more rustic feel, very appropriate for a garden setting. Zinc planters are more lightweight, durable and are suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use.

While not completely rust-proof, our zinc planters are made from Aluzinc which corrodes at a much slower rate than many other metals. Our Aluzinc planters are electroplated for rust and corrosion resistance, however avoiding scratches is important as well as using liners inside the planter.

Aluzinc is a combination of aluminium and zinc, typically in a ratio of approximately 55% aluminium and 45% zinc. It provides enhanced durability and corrosion resistance compared to traditional galvanized steel, as the aluminium provides a protective barrier, while the zinc offers cathodic protection.
